Quick answer: Use the same method you used when you first created your account.• If you originally entered an email + password, tap Log in with email.• If you originally chose Continue with Apple or Continue with Google, tap that same button.Once you’re back in, you can link additional sign-in options under Manage & update account.

1. Confirm how you first signed up

• Before July 2025 you could only create an account with email + password.
• After July 2025 you can also sign up with Apple or Google SSO.
• CookBook treats each method as a separate credential, so you must pick the one you used at signup.

2. If you signed up with email + password

1. Tap Log in.
2. Enter your email (or username) and tap Log in with email.
3. Forgot the password? Tap Lost your password? and follow the reset email.
4. Prefer to skip passwords? Tap Sign in by email code and enter the one-time code we send.

3. If you signed up with Apple or Google

1. Tap Continue with Apple or Continue with Google on the login screen.
2. Complete the Apple ID or Google prompt.
3. You’ll return to CookBook already signed in—no CookBook password required.

Trying the wrong button (e.g., tapping Google when you registered with email) will create a new empty trial account instead of opening your existing data.

4. Link Apple or Google SSO to an existing email account

1. Sign in with your current email + password.
2. Tap Side menu ☰ → Manage & update account.
3. Under Sign-in providers tap Link with Apple or Link with Google.
4. Follow the prompt. Next time you can use that SSO button to log in.

5. Still locked out?

• Make sure you’re entering the exact email tied to your subscription.
• If password reset emails don’t arrive, look in Spam/Promotions.
• If none of the above works, submit a support request and include:
• The email address you believe is on the account.
• Any App Store, Google Play or Stripe receipts for CookBook.
• A brief description of what happens when you try to log in.
