How to share and import a recipe from your browser

Quick answer: On iOS use the Safari Share Extension, on Android use the Share menu, and on desktop install the CookBook Chrome or Edge extension. All three routes send the page straight into CookBook, no copy-paste required.



Apple iOS (Safari)


  1. Open the recipe page in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share icon → choose CookBook.


  1. Tap Save to CookBook or Edit recipe.

Android browsers


  1. Open the recipe page.
  2. Tap ShareMore... → choose CookBook.

Desktop & Web App (Chrome or Edge)


  1. Install the CookBook Recipe Clipper from the Chrome Web Store or Edge Add-ons store.
  2. Browse to any recipe page.
  3. Click the CookBook icon in the toolbar → Edit or Save recipe.
  4. Edit tags or servings if you like, then click Save again.

Copy–paste fallback (works everywhere)


  1. Copy the page’s URL.
  2. Open CookBook → tap Paste on the dashboard → Confirm.
  3. Review and Save.


Now you can collect recipes from any browser on any device - happy importing! 🍽️
