What is the difference between my “Regular Items” grocery list and other shopping lists?

Quick answer: Regular Items is your reusable master list of staples. Standard shopping lists are your active lists for when you're actually shopping.

Simple way to remember

Regular Items = your reusable staples template.

Standard lists = your real shopping trips.

Regular Items

Think of Regular Items as your master staples list. This is where you store items you regularly buy, such as:

  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Bread
  • Rice
  • Cleaning supplies

You do not shop directly from this list in the usual way. Instead, when preparing for a shop, you:

  1. Open Regular Items.
  2. Tick the items you need this time.
  3. Copy them into your active shopping list.

It saves you from retyping the same basics every week. Regular Items stays the same week to week unless you choose to edit it.

Standard shopping lists

These are your active shopping lists. You can create and manage up to 9 standard lists, for example:

  • Weekly shop
  • Camping
  • Holiday
  • Party
  • Costco run

This is where you:

  • Add items from recipes
  • Copy items from Regular Items
  • Tick items off while you shop
  • Delete items once purchased

Standard lists are designed for a specific shop or occasion.
