How to import recipes from Facebook

Quick answer: On any Facebook post, tap Share → More… → CookBook. Choose Save to CookBook to store it instantly or Edit recipe to tweak tags, notes, or nutrition first. CookBook pulls the recipe from the caption - or follows any link in the post if the caption is empty.

How to import from Facebook (step-by-step)

  1. Find a recipe on Facebook you'd like to import
  2. Tap the Share button
  3. Swipe the app icons to the end and tap More..
  4. Pick CookBook in the app list.
  1. Choose:
  • Save to CookBook: Saves the recipe immediately without opening the CookBook app.
  • Edit recipe: opens CookBook so you can add tags, change servings, or upload photos before saving.

Quick tips

  • Caption first: Works best when the full recipe is written in the post caption or a first comment.
  • No caption? CookBook looks for a website link in the post and tries to import from there.
  • Copy-link fallback: Copy the video URL → open CookBook → tap Paste on the dashboard → Confirm.
